Job Description :
– Application Knowledge about resource planning and resource optimization through MOST technique / work measurement technique & guideline making.
– Achieving production targets as per TACT time with optimal utilization of Man, Machine and Material.
– Knowledge of Power Trains (Engines) – types, usage & working of Diesel and CNG engines
– Familiar in working with Engine Testing equipment, viz; Eddy Current Dynamometers, Water-based Dynamometers, Air handling & exhaust systems, cooling tower, Smoke meter, Bolw-by meter, etc.
– Familiar in pull production system for making Engine Manufacturing and Engine Testing schedules
– Suggest amendments to the testing schedule in response to unexpected events or changed customer needs, communicating changes to relevant parties as required
– Should have worked on Servo motors & DC nut runners
– Upkeep of engine testing supporting testing facilities.
– Knowledge of Engine Assembly equipment, slat conveyors, leak test machines & Hydraulic presses, oil & sealant dispensers
– Analysis & Interpretation of data to create customized reports for decision making
– Manage weekly working schedule with Maintenance technician
– Manage yearly and monthly maintenance plan and track & update every month.
– Manage the stock of maintenance, and track & update regularly
– Ensure preventative maintenance checks on testing equipment are carried out and ensure servicing and calibration of equipment is completed.
– Liaise with the internal maintenance team and external suppliers to ensure servicing and calibrations are completed in a timely manner with minimal disruption to the facility.
– Investigate whether any equipment breakdowns could have been prevented with maintenance; learn from issues that arise and communicate issues to other
– Ensure all equipment calibrations are completed and service records are signed off.
– Regularly check records of internal calibrations, follow up with relevant team members to ensure these are completed.
– Organize external calibration of equipment, ensuring downtime is minimized
– Knowledge & application of basic & advanced 7QC tools, Daily work management, TPM, Lean manufacturing, TS 16949, 5S, OHSAS18001, BBS & SCM best practices etc.
– Knowledge & practice of DCP, PPAP, APQP application at workplace
– Knowledge of Labour Laws & Regulations
– Reduction in conversion cost by identifying opportunities in respective area.
– Knowledge about Improvement techniques. Kaizen, benchmark practices.
– Knowledge about human error prevention techniques.
