Job Description :
– AWS subject matter expert who will be involved in development of Cloud architecture and technology strategy, ensure these comply with all relevant standards, principles and policies.
– What will you be doing
– An Enterprise Architect mindset who can lead and be accountable for the creation of our Cloud adoption/Execution plan
– Create AWS cloud solution architecture, focusing on native AWS tooling with bespoke tooling being used where native services are not approved.
– Create new cloud features in line with business requirements
– Develop strategies, best practice, processes, policies and MI to drive cost effective adoption of Public Cloud offerings
– Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct architecture review), provide guidance to team members and ensure the implementation of agreed cloud architecture
– Work closely with Architecture, Shared Technology, cloud providers and other teams to ensure integrated tools and processes are in place to support effective cloud utilisation requirements, e.g. automation scripts & tools, reporting
– Contribute to cloud strategy as BUK Ventures looks to leverage new features and cloud providers in the future roadmap
– An expert in cloud technologies, predominantly AWS but knowledge of other cloud providers will be an advantage.
– A grounding in service orientated architecture (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
– Demonstrable cloud architecture and implementation experience.
– Cloud certifications, AWS preferred but others such as Azure and GCP will be an advantage
– Strong understanding on CICD principles and how these can be supported through cloud
