Job Description :
– Supports mission critical and business critical production database systems
– Provides expert-level support for Pivotal Gemfire architecture
– Install, patch, upgrade and migrate Databases
– Proactive monitoring, tuning, periodic maintenance and capacity planning on Gemfire Infra
– Backup and Recovery of Databases and Disaster Recovery testing
– Contributes to the quick resolution of database performance issues and root cause analysis and preventing recurring issues
– Works with global, cross-cultural teams in troubleshooting of critical issues
– Bachelor s degree with 7+ years relevant experience; or Master s degree with 5+ years relevant experience
– Hands on experience in Gemfire
– Experience with Gemfire Security, Disk Stores & SSL Communication management
– Good experience with Gemfire Replicated & Partitioned Regions
– Experience implementing and supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical database systems
– Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
– Demonstrated tuning and performance optimization skills
– Experience with Monitoring tools
– Self-motivated with strong team work and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently on complex technical tasks
– Open to working in Night Shifts on rotation basis
– Experience with Database Administration over Linux as well as Linux OS scripting proficiency
– Knowledge of other databases like Greenplum, MS SQL, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB, Postgress
– Experience of working in Hadoop Ecosystem; especially HDFS and Yarn
– Solid knowledge and understanding of SQL and PL/SQL
– Experience in capacity planning, storage management, database trending and estimations
– Experience working with global teams
