Job Description :
– Should be able to quickly ramp up on new technologies and qualify latest OS or Applications with existing product.
– Seeks assistance when needed, demonstrates self-initiative. Sphere of influence primarily limited to immediate work group
– Follows standard engineering/test practices, uses judgment within defined practices and procedures. Implements work-plans and schedules as assigned.
– Contributes to the development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
– Authors and executes test cases and testing plan for manual and automated tests.
– Demonstrated skill with adopting to appropriate test methodologies. Fully competent in the use of necessary tools and applications.
– Software development expertise from a coding perspective. This is required for building test automation, scripting and error code interpretation. Working knowledge with Rest API.
– Ability to understand code flow. This is required for working with existing test automation, scrip maintenance and error code interpretation.
– Understands and adheres to cost/delivery/quality targets established during regression and testing phase.
– Maintains test setups & runs automated test suite regularly
– Proficiency in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a test environment, including necessary equipment, configuration, storage arrays and software.
– Ability to read a specification (hardware, software or network) and develop appropriate test methodology.
– Ability to learn and apply new tools and applications. Full use and application of standard engineering principles, theories, concepts and working knowledge of other related fields
– Advanced analytical and observation skills, combined with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
– Independently determines and develops approach to solutions and complete tasks and assignments, under only limited direction
– Experience in testing of Enterprise applications like SQL, Oracle, DB2, Exchange or SAP in storage environment
– Extensive testing experience with SAN & NAS storage arrays/appliance, FC/iSCSI/NFS configuring, replication technologies, storage provisioning , zoning etc
– Experience in testing on Windows & Unix platform, including Clustering , LVM’s, Multipathing software s etc.
– Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge in storage space.
– Execution knowledge of any leading automation framework like TestNG, JUnit, Protractor etc.
– Scripting knowledge of any leading languages like Groovy, Python, Perl, Shell, Powershell, JavaScript etc.
– Working knowledge with Bug tracking tools & Test case repositories like QC, CQ, Jira etc.
– Working knowledge with Virtualization ( Hyper-V / VmWare / LPAR) like Creating & Managing VM s through vSphere or SCVMM
– Ability to work in an Agile team environment & know-how of agile tools like versionOne or Jira.
– Problem solving & Communication skills.
– Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions.
